Archon 27
Saturday October 4, 2003
Somehow, Luke and I and Dyer (who we had met the previous weekend at 2BeCon) decided it would be worth it to drive to St Louis for Archon for one day. (Luke and I from Madison, Dyer from Louisville.) We all survived on an amazing lack of sleep....I think I went something like 40 hours on only a couple half hour naps. Luke did an amazing performance of "Stealing Like a Hobbit" as an exhibition entry in the masquerade, which had an audience of 1200. He then continued on to the filk room where he secured his spot as Filk Guest of Honor for Archon in October of 2004.
While Luke took care of business, Dyer and I hit the con suite (conveniently located across from the dance and serving beer), the dance, and some room parties. Archon is definitely one hell of a party and I'm looking forward to spending enough time there next year that sleep will fit into the schedule!
Arrrrgh, it's a pirate!
Pretty cool and intricate costume.

Dyer and I before hitting the parties.
At the Econolodge the next morning, once we had all actually gotten some sleep for the weekend.
